The Story Behind
NeuroKind
Why NeuroKind
NeuroKind was created from a simple but powerful belief: that care should be thoughtful, collaborative and grounded in genuine understanding.
I started NeuroKind after seeing how often people are expected to adapt to systems that were never designed with them in mind. At NeuroKind, supports are personalised, meaningful to the individual and designed to be sustainable for everyday life, not just the short term.
My Approach
At its core, NeuroKind is about meeting people where they are. It is about taking the time to truly understand each individual and approaching care with empathy, curiosity and respect, rather than assumptions or expectations to conform. Every decision is guided by respect for neurodiversity, emotional wellbeing, and the belief that support should feel empowering rather than overwhelming.
What NeuroKind Means
The name NeuroKind reflects this mission in more than one way.
“Neuro” acknowledges the many different ways people think, feel, learn, communicate and experience the world.
“Kind” represents the approach that underpins NeuroKind; compassion, patience, understanding and genuine connection.
It also reflects the belief that no two neurodivergent people are the same. Each person is their own kind, with unique strengths, needs, goals and ways of being. Support should adapt to the individual, rather than expecting the individual to adapt to systems.

Meet Erin
Developmental Educator
Hi, I’m Erin, the Developmental Educator behind NeuroKind Developmental Education. I’m also the wearer of many other hats, including being a mum and someone with lived experience of neurodiversity.
My Background
I hold a Master’s degree in Autism and Neurodivergent Studies and am an accredited and registered Developmental Educator with Developmental Educators Australia Inc. (DEAI). My work is grounded in neuro affirming, strengths based and evidence informed practice, shaped by both professional training and lived experience.
My Approach
As a Developmental Educator, I support neurodivergent individuals and their families across different ages and stages of life. I have a particular interest in early intervention and supporting families during the early years, while recognising that development, wellbeing and support needs continue across the lifespan. My approach is flexible, collaborative and responsive to each individual’s unique strengths, needs, goals and environments.
Working Together
At NeuroKind, support is not about fixing or changing neurodivergent people. It is about building capacity, confidence, connection, participation and wellbeing in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable in everyday life. I work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, educators and other professionals to ensure supports align with real life routines, environments and goals.

If you’re feeling unsure, curious, or simply wanting to explore what support could look like, I’m here to walk alongside you.
